Frankincense has been burned in temples, carried across ancient trade routes, and used for thousands of years in ritual and medicine. To me, the scent smells like sunshine. I imagine that is part of why the Ancient Egyptians burned it in honor of their sun god Ra. It is warming, mood-lifting, and quietly grounding all at once.

For skin, frankincense is especially well-suited as a daily face cream. It regenerates healthy skin cells and gently tones and firms the skin, smoothing and soothing in equal measure.

Sourcing Matters:

Our ingredients are as local as possible. If we are not growing it or ethically foraging it ourselves, we source from people we love and businesses we trust. The tallow comes from a ranch in my community. The ranchers are my friends, and they raise happy organic, grass-fed cows who regenerate the soil. Ingredients:

  • Organic, grass-fed tallow*

  • Frankincense resin

  • Organic jojoba oil*

  • A trace amount of alcohol is used in the extraction process and is not present in meaningful amounts in the final product

Tallow Benefits:

Tallow is uniquely compatible with human skin because of its rich fatty acid profile, which closely resembles the structure of our own sebum. It contains a harmonious blend of saturated and monounsaturated fats—including stearic, oleic, palmitic, and palmitoleic acids—that help:

✨ support repair without clogging pores.

We proudly and gently render all of our tallow from grass-fed cows and bison raised on regenerative pasture by friends in our community. It's slow skincare at its most elemental—nourishment rooted in relationship with the land.
